| GICLEE PRINTS What is a Giclee? (Pronounced zhee - clay) |
| Giclee is from the French word "to spray". It is a high quality, plateless printing process in which a fine spray of ink moves across the paper. It rivals lithography in its resolution and color range, and is a favorite with artists. The image is scanned or digitally entered on the computer. It is refined until approved by the artist, and then printed on a high resolution printer. Capable of displaying a full color spectrum of 256 million colors, Giclee prints capture every nuance of the original image. Recent developments in ink and media are producing prints that will last for decades. Special Giclee inks and media have been engineered to provide archival museum- quality artwork. Accelerated aging tests indicate longevity in the range of 70 to 100 years. However, actual longevity depends on the display environment.
Giclee prints are available on canvas or premium matte paper. Each print order is executed individually, including color proofing by the artist. |

Giclees on stretched canvas can also be embellished with dimensional paint and crystals for an additional $50.00 charge. Stretched canvas giclees can be "gallery wrapped" on 1.5" bars, with color on the sides and staples on the back. This eliminates the need for framing. Price depends on size of finished piece.
